Election for Better Indonesia

        Indonesia has immense event that held each five years usually called Election or Pemilu. This is about Indonesia people party to choose who will be a leader for Indonesia. Every people that have rights must choose the candidates that already held a campaign. They travel everywhere to give a “promise” to the people. “If I selected in this election, I would make your life prosperous. If I selected to be a President, I would make this country has better economy system. If I won this election, I could change this country to be a big country”. The candidates hope the people believe what they said, but if we see our experience when we choose the other candidates 5 years ago, the “promise” just a lie. Actually the way to choose them already good because the system make they choose order with people aspiration, but it broken when the chosen just think about their self.

        The election become proves that Indonesia is democracy country that respect to what people want and choose. The people always give opinion to the government and they will discuss it that able or not if does it in Indonesia. The election not only chooses the president, but also the people representative. People choose the best candidates of president and the representatives for this country and they believe who chosen will be a good leader for them. People not only believe their capability but the candidate effort to make this country better too.

      Many problems that they must solve, like the poverty, lack of water, corruption, education, and so on. We as a people can't only give that problem to our representatives or president, but we have responsibility to make this country better.

Sinabung Explode

Someday ago, Indonesia got a tremendous disaster. This disaster is about mountain explosion happened in Sumatra Island, on Sinabung mountain.The progress of the disaster it's so fast. The level of the dangerous include in the shortest in Indonesia. It makes people around the mountain so pensive, because they must search safe area in short time. Besides, they must find the area that so far from the mountain, may be 10-15 km far from mountain, because last week very hot clouds, around 800 C success make the people live devastation in radius 5-8 km. It's just not attack the people, but the animal from the surround of the mountain also, like cat, dog, pig, rodent, and so on.

This disaster make the society around Sumatra tears, because of the high activity of this mountain and short time increase progress, make the analyst of that mountain can't announce the states of the mountain fast, and it's make society can't prepare well to run, from their home, and they devoid care about their home at all, just leave the home directly. In a place that prepare for the society life for sometimes to wait until the mountain safe, there is volunteer from some organization have prepare about their food well to prevent they get famine. Their condition makes some omnipotent persons, like they governor and some minister of Indonesia come to see them, and also the Indonesian president. They also care about octgenarian, because they so sad and try to find their family, but it's hard to be them because they already very old and weak. Let's pray for Sinabung and also Indonesia for brighter future.

Did you ever don’t get an experience? It seems like impossible if you have don't get experience. Believe me, experience is the best teacher ever. Last year, according to me became an attractive year that I have done. Last year, many unpredictable moment that I have past, like join competition, became leader of Event Organizer (EO), have a new friend, and so on. I past every beautiful moment with my friends was the ones that meaningful for my life.

It starts from January, when my house organized a movie night. My old brother in my house said that movie night had a lot of story, because it’s the first time in this school that we held and prepare together, and this moment also we will knew the characteristic of everyone in my house, and it’s the challenge for me as a father for my house to control their emotion. For the first time, I really worried, if I can't control their emotion, but finally until that event finished, we don't had any meaning friction.

Success to became father in my house, I continued my journey to organizations, my talent since junior high school. Start from became a leader of big event in dormitory, that is election for Head of Dormitory Committee. This event surely set up as like as election in this country, like campaign to the dorm society, until that election that use Indonesia president election system. For the first time, it’s seems hard to be a leader for Commission on Election that member came from coordinator every house, surely they have good ability be a leader, and it’s like become a leader of leaders. But, I believe they choose me because of their belief if I could manage all this event from the start until to the end, and my journey in dorm organization ended when I became Head of Boys in House Senate. I could learn how to lead the organization well and became good example for my member
.

It’s different with my journey in competition. If in organization it’s ended with high position in dorm Organization, for my adventure in competition started from medal. I got my first silver medal in Olimpiade PeneMu (Peneliti Muda) or paper competition that held at Semarang, 21-23 November 2013. My innovation about sanitation and according to the judges, it’s had good future if I could improve that. I just thought that it’s still the start and I hope can get next medal for me, perhaps Gold Medal in ISPO 2014, amin ya Allah.

Awesome experience for me is when I could get every beautiful moment in last year with the new things that I never realize, is about the power of belief, power of heart when belief if I could reach what I hopes. The simple quote from my experience is “You can, if You Belief”.

2. Start the Games

Live is game, if you can't play the game, you'll lose. It's seems like if you can't control your life, you will end in this life. This quotation so famous in this era, because so many improvement. But, let's imagine if you can't fight in this life, what will happen to you? We need strategy to win this game. I also have strategy to win this life, and my strategy is come from my experience last year. The first weapon is beliefs, believes that I can reach my dream.

For this year, I'll start the journey from get major achievement. The achievement started for next month. It's about ISPO, like what I hope in last year. For this chance I learn a lot from my experience when I got silver medal. I believe if I can.

After I get major achievement, I'll to be representatives of Indonesian in International. It's will be need a lot of struggle, pray, and action. I must struggle and believe to the heart if I can and to the Allah also.

And everything will be back to the Allah, who gave all my life with beautiful moment. I perhaps, for this year, I can increase my pray intensity in order to I can know more about this life, everything about my life and prosperity that I get.  And you can, if you belief to the heart, and in our heart, Allah always help us to past this life well.

Arthur Goes to Camp

Once upon a time, Arthur's school had a camp. The camp will be held in a forest. The journey started from morning. Arthur started from ask permission to his parent. Arthur's journey to reach the camp so long, the first obstacle he must over the muddy farm field. In the farm field Arthur meet some rabbits that looked for the grass for their breakfast. Arthur enjoyed the journey. The air was so fresh. He also enjoyed the scenery. But, he was very shocked when foot trap in the thick mood. He struggle to come out from mood alone. In a few minutes, there is a farmer. When the farmer saw him, the farmer directly helped him to come out from mood. Arthur success passed the mood. He was grateful to farmer. Arthur continued the journey.

After farm field, he must pass the river that separated farm field and the forest. The river was not too wide. There is a small bridge. But, the bridge created from wood and it's so brittle. Arthur started walked on the bridge. For the first, he didn't get any problem with that brittle bridge. Unfortunately, in the middle he saw a big crocodile under bridge. He struggle to walk quite. When he was step on a brittle wood, the wood shard fall to the river. The wood was shard that felt, attacked crocodile head. The crocodile directly saw Arthur with angry. Arthur so afraid when he looked the crocodile went up to the bridge by the river side. The crocodile was suddenly in front of the Arthur. He so afraid and he said "I'm sorry, I'm not deliberate". The crocodile reply, "I don't care, I'm hungry, and I will bait you". The Arthur thought how to avoid crocodile. Arthur went back one step. The crocodile started walked to the Arthur. Suddenly the crocodile fall to the river because he didn’t realize that he was step on the wood shard that Arthur felt it. Arthur directly ran from the bridge and goes to the forest.

Arthur Entered to the forest. He didn't know the direction to the camp. Arthur took a map from his bag. But he was still can't knew the direction. Fortunately, he looked a campfire. He also saw some tent. He directly walked to the campfire. Finally, Arthur met his friend and his teacher. He directly joined the activities and tell his experience that he got from a journey. 

Tlogowaru Wonder...

POLRI Monument Front side

Tlogowaru is a village located in a Malang that not many people know about it. This village located so far from the city in Malang. If you come there, you will think that the village unusual and undeveloped like the culture in Malang. The society is come from places that far from there, Madura Island. If Malang so popular with cold weather, it's different in there that so hot and dry. Although this village contain many farm and forest, but it can't make the weather cold. Tlogowaru included in an area that higher than other places in Malang.

Relief tell us about history

Tlogowaru is a village that so hot, unusual, and undeveloped in Malang, have they a hidden treasure? Yes they have. Tlogowaru have many treasure, for example POLRI Hassle Monument, Pancasila Monument, International school, and so on, but for now I’ll tell you about POLRI Hassle Monument that located backside of SMAN 10 Malang. The monument build for commemorate the hassle of some hero from police department in East Java. The story start when Anton Sujarwo included in POLRI, he lived in 

The Hero that passed away

Tlogowaru with other society to chased away Netherland from Tlogowaru. Actually the society didn’t know where he came from, but he emerged as a leader. When Netherland colonize Malang, especially at Tlogowaru, Anton Sujarwo always emerged in first line to attacked Netherland, for the sake of Tlogowaru. They really held the pass until their home must burned with colonial. Their struggled to defend the Tlogowaru have a success, but they must loss twelve hero or major from POLDA or police department in East Java. The story above, carved in relief of the monument.

POLRI Symbol

There is some part of monument that has a meaning, for example a fire that epitomize as a hassle like a fire that flame up. The POLRI also show their symbol as an identity. The important one is the monument officially assignment at 28^th December 1983.

It’s lucky for Tlogowaru that have monument since struggle for colonial until now. The society also relish it, for example is always keep it good and interest by clean that place every month. In addition the POLRI every year go there for recall the hassle. One word that impress me from Tlogowaru, WONDER.

My Philosophy

Thinking constructively.

My friends almost said that me the thinker ones. Yes, I sure and agree with my friends opinion if me like that because I realize that me the ones that have introvert character. May be my friends see my gray hair as the proof that me the thinker ones. But, actually without consider my gray hair as the sign if me the thinker ones, they already true said that to me. I don’t know why, but when I get a problem, the first step that I will choose is thinking how it can be a problem, from where the problem come, and how to solve that problem and I do it many times. If I can predict the percentage between do and think in my life until now, may be 60% of my life is thinking and the remaining is doing. If many people say what for if you think too much and you don’t do it directly is wasting time, It different to me. I prefer when I think the problem from the base and construct all that I can do for that problem, because I think the step that can planed and constructed well, we can solve every problem effectively and not waste the time. One thing that can describe about me is skyscraper building because the skyscraper although have so many part that have many function and so complicated, but the building still have constructively arrangement. Although I have so many problems in my mind, I still can manage all wisely and construct it all. The true one about me is constructively thinker.

The initiator is me. 

I will choose what can I do for it than who can do for it. May be for almost people initiative is the activities that make us fatigue and just waste the energy. Beside that what for if just do it all from the start and the other don’t care about it? Sometimes I ever think about that and also make me lazy to do it, but I think again if not me as a vanguard, who? I realize vanguard is difficult and so hard to do it because at first we must know what will we do and what can make them interest and respect about what I can do. My strong character as the constructively thinker can support me as the initiator. So when I can get a command from my teacher, I’ll do the command first and the next I will do the same things that give more effect. For example, my friends ask me to help him to teach about math. The first I will do teach what him ask to me, and the next I will explain all about the matter from the start until finish without he ask me for the first. One new fact about animal in the worlds, ant can walk without eye because they blind. How they can make a row that so tidy in 1 row? They spread out some mucous in the land and the next ant it will smell the mucous, and they do it in many times. Same like me, without many commands, I will do it as much as I can that will help for everyone in surround me.

Loyal: Easy to say, hard to do.

Loyal for everyone is easy to say but hard to do it. Many people can loyal when they get some profit, but when they get some disadvantages, they will leave them. Many people loyal because of the strategic to get what they want. But actually the meaning loyal is come from our heart, our good feel and care to each other. Loyal is not the way to get something that we want, but to help, care, and guide the ones who need us. We can’t just loyal when our friends so kind with us, always make you happy or another that can give advantage for you. How if they in poor condition or fall because of bad mark or their parent lost the job? Will you leave them?  If the question for me, my answer is no, I will not. When I have friends and my friends get some problem, I try to the first who can give some help for them, it will advice or the other that useful, because I always think when I get some problem with them, and no one care about their problem, how pity I am. Same case when birds fly in a group, they always control the position and speed to prevent their friend s left behind and lost from the group, and when one member of the bird group feel tire to fly and slowly left behind, the ones of group member that closest with the bird that slowly left always wait until the bird can fly better and guide until back to the group.

That's all about me. I think everyone have their own character and different each other. The differences always make this world unique and become so beautiful. If another one have better character then you, it's okay, no one be the same in this world. Everyone have different capability and everyone should use their good capability to help each other, because we are social creature. "So, Just Be Yourself" :)

Sociology and Science

 In the early 19^th  the french mathematician, August Comte (1798-1857) impressed by the achievements being made natural sciences such as physics, chemistry, and geology, argued that three were discernible stages in the evolution of human thought. There are:

1.      The first stage

Which he called ‘theological’ or ‘fictitious’ stage, explained event as God’s work, for example thunder occurring when God is angry, or famines being the result of not worshipping him enough. 

2.      The second stage

Characteristic of the middle ages with explanation involving subtle emissions from the divine and mystic influences, called the ‘metaphysical’ stage.

3.      The third stage 

Based on evidences of the previous two hundred years which appeared to demonstrate that the natural world is subject to the rule of definite laws that can be observed through experiment and this collection of ‘positive facts’. 

Positivist and structural sociology    

Positivist sociology is similar to the concept of Empricism. It mainly interested pursuing a research programme that is parallel to that of the natural sciences, seeking to discover patterned and regular events in the social world whose occurence is either  caused by  another event, or strongly correlated with that event.

Webber wrestled with the problem of determinism, suggesting instead that human have some control over their lives. Although a ‘positivist‘ sociology clearly now, scepticism exist both inside and outside sociology as to how successful and valid it is.

Social science to predict of the natural sciences. Aside from the ethical problems of placing people in artificial situations, it only makes sense to study people’s behaviour in an existing social setting.

With these limitation, social scientists have far greater difficulty in establishing the cause or causes of events. At best, all that can be established are strong correlation.

Scientific in that sociology constitutes a body of organised knowledge developed through systematic enquiry, using techniques that approximate to those of natural science, yielding data of similar reliability and validity.    

The hypothetico-deductive method

               

Good science is based on the hypothetico-deductive method. This method contains several stages which are:

a.       Observation: scientific activitiy depends on systematic defenition, recording and description of its subject matter.

 Conjecture:  to explain the observation, scientist must think for a reason of the incident.

b.      Hypothesis Formation: the conjection must be put in a form that will allow the scientist to determine how accurate it explains the incident in the observation. In other meaning, it is made to predict the result of a stage.

c.       Testing: The hypothesis must be tested in an experiment to prove wether is is right or not.

d.      Generalisation: if the test says that it is right, means that the conjecture explains the occurance of the observation. Either into a law-like statement or a probibalistic statement

e.       Theory Formation: A number of generalisations are ordered into a theory, which explains a range of phenomena.

A hypothetico-deductive method must not have any opinion of the researcher. Because it needs to be subjective.

The phenomenological approach

There is a difference between human and non living things. And by this people start to think for their own selves and have reasons for their behaviours. Sosiologists should be aware about this.

Scientists are involved in analyzing these phenomenon as an other group in a community.

All knowledge is a result of interaction between human to human. To create things we need to reprocess, this comes from few ideas that are considered already known. All knowledges are constructed in a social way.

Teenagers’ Second World

            Nowdays, every-one surely know about internet. Every-one of course ever being online. Internet is like a second world, because it provides all we need and we want. Internet also gives best serve for us to do every-thing in cyber world. Internet with its kind of facilities can attract every-one to waste a lot of time just for internet. Because every-one also have different needs when surfing on internet and it can make people sit down in front of the computer for a lot of time.

            Every-one knows about internet. Every-one also can operate internet, especially teenager. why? Because, in this era, teenager’s problems and needs can be solved in short time with internet. Beside that, globalization can make teenager use internet in many kind of perspective, like social, education, entertainment, culture, and so on. With many kind of perspective, it can make internet has great potential, especially for teenager. And that potential still have pro and cons.

            According to Ms. Mizuko Ito, a scientist researcher in Dept.  University California, (“it may look as though the kids are wasting a lot of time hanging out with new media, whether it’s on My Space or sending instant messages. There’s been some confusion about what kids are doing online. Mostly there socializing with their friends”) (Ito,2008;1). From her arguments, (we can see that the internet is very close relate with internet), and teenager also use the internet like second world. It’s like impact of internet for teenager that teenager can be addicted with internet, but it depends on with every-one that can control him/her self.

            With the arguments above, we can imagine how teenager can make a second world from internet. The internet has a double edged sword characteristic for teenager: providing many opportunities for learning while exposing teenager to potentially negative aspect. As we know, internet not only provides significant benefits for children/teenager such as socialization, entertainment, education, and so on. But it also gives negative aspect such as plagiarism, social crime/cyber crime, and can be addiction.

            If we look at the positive impact of internet, it has many positives about that. If we look from social perspective, we can do charity, connecting people, communication, and so on. If from education perspective, can help teenagers to study and solve the problem about homework. From culture, internet is useful for teach teenagers about culture in digital form. And from entertainment, teenager can refresh their mind after being bored with study. That’s good if we make internet a second world for us with so many positive aspects that can make teenager not meaningless with internet.

            But, like double edged sword characteristic, internet also has bad impact, and the effect has great potential that can make teenager have to be able to control with activity on internet. Like positive impact, we also have 4 perspectives. If we look from social perspective, we can’t avoid that social crime is developing now. And the all main problem for teenager who surf in social network. From education perspective, we as a student still has many homework that can make student search in  internet and just co-past (copy-paste) to simplify the time which can be called as plagiarism. In culture, still many proof culture ridicule. In entertainment so many facilities in there such as music, video, games, and so on that can make “teenager addiction”.

            Base from Yahoo and Carat  survey at December 2003, the teenager ages 12-17 used the internet for an average of 16.7 hours per week (www.articlebases.com;2005;1). The survey show that teenagers very close with internet, moreover teenager called internet is second world. It’s fact that teenagers can waste a lot of time just for internet. If we think again, it can called addiction. Why? Because the average of time in a week is including in great potential for teenager to be trapped in negative impact. It’s good if teenager can control their-self because with self-control, they can do self protection. But, in fact,  teenager’s ages is labile, where in that ages,  teenagers still have low self-control, and it can make they trapped to negative aspect. Dr. Mubarak Ali of Flinders University in Adelaide, Australia,  said “substance abuse is something visible. Psychological addictions are caused by wanting to hang on to or enhance positive feelings and stimuli, like winning in gambling, playing, computer games, or projecting what ever personality you like in chat rooms“ (Ali,2005;1)

            With the complex problem about negative impact of internet to teenager, we must solve the problem, because if we don’t solve the problem, problem can be more complex. From religion perspective, we must increase our faithful to the God, because with that, we can know more about the positives and negatives difference. From social, we must be careful with every-one who is kind with us, because every-one can trap us in cyber crime. In education, about plagiarism, we as a student must have awareness if plagiarism is bad and can give big impact for us a student, the example we can’t study more about this material. And it can include in cyber crime.

            From the explanation of the teenager second world, we, as a student and still teenager, we must can divide positives and negatives from internet. And also we must know how to use internet wisely. Especially education, we must more respecting people creation by not doing plagiarism. My advice “Internet in our world, but our world not just internet.”
